Title: keyboard change on A500+
Post by: taononstop on November 17, 2004, 08:32:49 AM
hi there,

I have a GERMAN A500+ but I can get an internal UK keyboard. Will it be possible to swap the german keyboard for the UK one and what would I need to change in the system so it will recogize the new keyboard layout?

thank you so much,
Joris

The actual electronics of the two keyboards should be the same.  Only the keys are different.  The Amiga recognizes the type of keyboard that you have hooked up by the language that is installed when you install Workbench.

After installing the new keyboard, just go into prefs and change to the language that you want.  Most of the languages should already be their in prefs.  It is just a matter of selecting the one you want and then saving.
