My dad use to play a game on his Amiga(maybe a Commadore) called 1492. I have searched for it on google and on numerous Amiga game databases, but can't find anything about it. Does anyone know if it was ported to PC or who made it?

The game was made by Capcom, by the way. :-)

Sorry, but that's a link to 1942. I'm looking for 1492. It was an rpg/adventure game.

LOL, I must be blind...sorry. :-)

1492: Conquest of Paradise

@ Loki
Are you sure 1492 is in the title, or is it about 1492 and Columbus? Is the game like 'Colonization' or 'The Seven Cities of Gold?'
-
If I remember correctly it was an overheard game. Don't think it was like Civilization. It was an RPG/adventure style game.
-
Like the early Ultima games?
-
I believe it was. Not really sure what the old Ultima games looked like. I was 5 or 6 back then.

Yup I know the game, I have it somewhere... Oh... Floppy disk hell :-(

So what the name of the game. Is it really called 1492? If so, why can't I find it on any lists of Amiga games? Who made it? Was it ported to pc?
-
1492 was on the C64/C128.
On the Amiga it was called "the Seven Cities of Gold" and was an improved version. Seven Cities of Gold was also available on the C64 and it was by the same author and publisher (EA).
Far as I remember, there was never a 1492 for the Amiga.
It (7COG)was also one of my favourite games of "all time" Amiga. :-)

7COG, that must be what I am looking for. Thanks.
Pirates Gold! for PC comes out this month.
