You know you're old when everyone you think of as contemporary is dead.

The man is a legend.

I never really got to see much of him (apart from Natural Born Killers and a cartoon film he voiced the dog in), but I loved his comedy in those two.
I wish I'd seen more before now.

last month he did his last interview. he said if he doesn't survive the surgery, he won't know it. he'll "go out in style" - no long suffering.
Good Night, Funny Man - you always had style!
-
Was he in "Little Nicky", that was on TV, last Sunday...
Janet Lee died a couple of days ago too... but in less style than she died in the 60's.

Larry Burns is dead. :-(

This is very sad news. RD was one of my favourites. The master of insults, put downs and general one-liners. He was in Little Nicky, I believe, as satans Dad I think... Been a while since I watched that. And oc Natural Born Killers. I think the cartoon about the dog was called Rover Dangerfield. I saw it once ages ago. You guys must have seen him in Caddyshack too!
A quick google has uncovered a page of some of his jokes...

Caddyshack and Back to School are pretty good movies with Rodney. But, if you've ever seen his stand up routine, that's where he really shined.

I haven't seen Caddyshack in years, the only thing I can remember about it was the little things digging up the course. That's it.
