To think the worst of my troubles was being called 'Michel' in French classes...

Try the following names for a laugh. All genuine, I can assure you.

Juan Kerr - His mother was spanish, father was Irish (IIRC).

Merlin Brick - strange bloke in the village one of my old Uni mates came from.

Richard Head - a old work colleage of my friend Andy.

Theresa Tickle - "Tess" for short. Poor lass, she really got some stick!

I've come across some mad names in my time but, I think, the best was a Mrs. R. Slicker (Rose), who used to be a customer of mine.
