Title: A4091 crashes sometimes
Post by: duesi on November 01, 2002, 10:57:15 AM
I use a DKB A4091 SCSI Controller in my A4000
There is one problem since i use this device:
On HDD access (deleting a folder or copy a big amount of data the System crashes and reboot
(OK i have some other Zorro-Cards Cybervision64, X-Surf).. and yes I have Buster V11. Somewhere i've seen the solution is to put the Cybervision in slow-mode...(How to do that ?)
Or should i change to IDE-HDD ?

Any help ?

Slow mode for the Cybervision64 (NOT the CV64/3D) is Jumper 1 (JP1)
set to CLOSED.  This only works (from the manual) on cards with serial
numbers of 81xxxxx.  The manual states "the CV64 to operate in an old
Buster compatible mode...even with Buster chip 11...because on the
A4000 motherboard are some components that may also influence Zorro-3
bus timng beyond acceptable tolerance."

I hope that helps.
