Hello,
I have recently put my Amiga gear for sale on Amibench. I have shifted most of them. But i have been contacted by a number of mindless idiots that want to make CU_AMiGA look stupid and rip him off: Loan Sharks! :pissed: I advertised yesterday my modem package, and within a matter of hours, i get contacted by a "desperate" person. I quickly prompted him the terms and am awaiting a reply. Where do these buggers come from? Has anyone been a victim/signed wih these people?
Regards,

Actually, i will his part of the email correspondence. It is pretty interesting:
Hello,
thanks for the mail, and i appreciate your kindly gesture.i really need the amiga as soon as possible ,so i wil be very glad if you can accept my payment procedure .i am from norway and based in norway so i wont be able to come and view the amiga .
meanwhile my payment procedure is stated below:
haven read your mail i will contact my colleague who is indebted to me.so he will be sending you the uk cheque.
mind you he will be sending a cheque of the total amount of money he owes me which is £700 .when you get the cheque,go and deposit it in your account and when it has been transfered to your account you deduct your £15
and forward the remaining to my shipping company through western union money transfer.
The shipping company will be coming for the pickup of the amiga ,that is
three days after you have sent them funds.the funds will be meant for the shipping and clearing arrangement of the amiga .
i hope i can count on you for my portion after you have deducted your £15,and i shall be giving you extra 30 for your stress for the transactions.
I WILL NEED YOUR DETAILS,SUCH AS
1.FULL NAME WHOM CHEQUE SHOULD BE MADE PAYABLE TO.
2.ADDRESS WHERE THE CHEQUE WILL BE SENT TO
3.AND ALSO YOUR PHONE NUMBER
It is a very dodgy email. I wonder when he says "colleague", he actually means one of his "victims" owes him money from a previous cheque and so send one of the "big boys" to beat it out of them, or death threats like that.

Looks more like money laundering to me, instead of a scam to rip off CU-Amiga.
