I am wondering where I can get some of the popular classic pics of the Amiga? Like the Sachs, DPaint and other classic pics. I want to collect as many as I can and burn them to a CD to have. Is there a repository on the net? If not I may start one, if it's legal.

I think a lot of these are in the pix directory of Aminet. You might go and get them while AmiNet still exists. It seems to be slipping away recently.

I truly hope that is not the case :-(

This Sachs web site has been around for a long time:

Wait a second.........
I thought the house was actually drawn by hand??!?!?! :-?

The main site is currently suffering a RAID failure, most downloads are still available from the mirrors, but you cannot upload anything (so matthias, admin of main DE mirror tells me).
In relation to digital art: Hand-Drawn usually means pixelled by hand rather than rendered, scanned, etc. I think you would find this is what they mean.
Oh, and copyright would apply to images unless the artist specifies otherwise. Still, if it's available on aminet then there would be no real problem unless you tried to charge us money to view them. (I can picture in my mind amigaphiles jacking off to old Sachs pix - now I think I want to vomit!)
