Title: Compaq G4 vs Apple G4 vs Amiga1 G4 vs Pegasos
Post by: asian1 on September 24, 2004, 01:03:17 PM
Hi
Compaq have new G4 product with 3.6 GHz XEon.
Does this product have better price/performance ratio than AmigaOne G4 XE?
What about Pegasos II or Apple G4 products?

As far as I know Compaq/HP is Intel server G4 which has little to do with IBM/Motorola PowerPC G4 I'm afraid.

Yes/No.

You're comparing apples with oranges... That compaq thing is not close to a desktop machine...

Kinda answered your own question there, as the Xeon is just an Intel processor (that features dual cores to make it suitable for server uses).
