Title: MPEG players and 16bit screenmodes?
Post by: AmiDelf on February 11, 2003, 02:08:15 PM
Hello...

I would like to get some help on how to play 16bit mpeg movies thru AMP2 and Frogger? They play it in 24bit, in 32bit and in 8bit, but in 16bit it just fall back for some strange reason.

Another thing is.. If my AmigaOS is set to be 24bit, it will play mpegs, but without sound and falls back to AmigaOS without any problems.

This is my Amiga:
Amiga 4000 68060 50Mhz/PPC604e 233Mhz, Voodoo3 2000, DelfinaDSP, AriadneII, MultifaceIII, 66gb HD, 106mb RAM, 36x IDE CD-ROM (MediatorPCI4000di), 15.1"LCD monitor

AmigaOS v3.9 with BoingBag1 and Picasso96 installed..

Please help if you can...

Regards,
AmiDelf

Hi Sorry not an answer to your question.
Would just like to ask your opinion on the Mediator 4000di. I'd like to buy one, but the lack of the videoslot is not a good thing to me...

Its good actually, no worry.. but if you really want to keep your Video Toaster 4000, you better go for a real MediatorPCI4000 and a tower from ELBOX wich actually also got 2 Video slots...
