At last an Amiga emulator for Sega Dreamcast, this is something I`ve wanted for a long time. It is at http://www.dcemu.co.uk/uae4all.shtml This is Alpha, but from what I seen with their Atari ST emulator. I think it will have more features in one or two weeks.
-
I bet he gets a few emails on that kick.rom image.. glad I have a DC so I'll try it out.
-
Wow, really cool!
I wonder if it ever will get fullspeed with sound though. I highly doubt it :/
-
I think it will have sound soon. The Atari St emulator they did started out the same way and about a week or so later they added sound. Well maybe, not the same computer, but I hope they will add it soon. I want to try Chaos Engine with it.
-
Should have enough grunt for about A500 speed with non-accurate sound.
-
Hmmm, that'd be pretty neat.
-
Chui has released another update today. Talk about fast.
Whats new:
- Amiga500 with 1MB RAM.
- Frameskip1 (very close to real speed).
- Preliminar Menu System like DCaSTaway.
- Filemanager (load and reload floppy images).
- Sound (not crystal and slow a bit).
TODO:
- Virtual Keyboard.
- Speed up.
- Complete Menus.
- Crystal sound.
Be interesting to see how far this thing goes over the coming weeks, or days! :-)
-
Does it support the DC mouse/modem/keyboard?
-
I wish I had my mouse and keyboard adapter here to test it. It should support keyboard, there is no virtual keyboard. They have added a screen shot now I see.

Holley ...read your posts in the other form .. err, the same maybe ... i found a 3000 in a refuse container but i have to rebuild it ... my question is about your post on Amiga Forever #6..I can't seem to download any of the programs that download programs on this pc ... it's has AF#6 , but when i try and download the unarc. file the always go into the ram ? and then a message to the effect ...unknown format... i'm new so this is vague to me ... any suggestions?

ok, I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to open where there, so I'll start at the beginning! Amiga Forever 6 is for making a PC pretend to be an Amiga (called emulating).
If you've bought AF6 you need to do some reading of it's instructions as some parts work in Windows and others on an Amiga (either real or emulated), and you will need to know which is which.
As for your A3000, if that was the dumpster find, first thing to do is check what it's fitted with, and what (if any) harddisks have on them.
Maybe this needs to be in a new topic, if what I've written didn't make much sense then give some more details (like where you're going to get this archive, what it's called etc) and I'm sure we'll get some progress (the experts here know way more than me ;-)).
