Got my boot problem solved. 8GB is too big for the boot partition. 4GB solved this problem.
Now.
The installer won't work (software failure 8000 0004).
I've copied the installer from 3.9 several times but when I try to install internet from 3.9, the installer program fails even before the install starts.
Help.

Can you run it from the cli without it crashing?
Here's a list of what Installer (44.10) seems to be using:
utility.library
intuition.library
gadtools.library
graphics.library
layers.library
icon.library
rexxsyslib.library
datatypes.library
cybergraphics.library (?)
workbench.library
console.device
locale.library
Are you using SnoopDos? I would recommend that you use it, turn off Ignore workbench/cli and turn on OpenDevice, OpenFont (etc.). See if it's crashing when opening one of these up.

I just finished trying to run installer from the cli and it returns the same error.
What is SnoopDos?

SnoopDOS is a really really useful system/app call monitoring app. Go download it :-)

You're right, SnoopDos is the sh*t!
But what do I do with the failed pieces of installer?

Sure is!
But what do I do with the failed pieces of installer?
Compare them with what comes on the AmigaOS 3.9 cd.

I did what every red blooded american would do!
I installed Installer NG and all is well.
To the dogs with the old installer, it wasn't as fun anyway. :-)
