Hello,
Can anyone recommend a *good* SSH client for Amiga?
I'm currently using AmTelnet from www.vapor.com, but it has issues with terminal emulation. It for one does not show IBM characters, and it has trouble with the specific application I need. (It does not look right at all, it doesnt clear things it needs to, it highlights things it shouldn't, etc.) I've adjusted and adjusted, I think I just need a better client.
Isnt there a good OpenSSH port or something?
Thanks,
Neofree

There is port at
http://www.chernoff.org/amiga/amiga-openssh.lha (http://www.chernoff.org/amiga/amiga-openssh.lha)
don't know what it is like though...

There's *a* port of OpenSSH on Aminet, but you have to compile it, and that stretches just how much I can be bothered to install something :-)
(ok, just looked, it's not directly on Aminet, it's on a readme on Aminet pointing at the URL:
http://www.chernoff.org/amiga/
(the link on aminet: http://uk.aminet.net/pub/aminet/comm/tcp/openssh_note.readme)

oh god damn. beaten to it :-)

Compile?? Man that may not really be worth it...
Dont own any (let alone the needed) compiler... Plus too much hassle for what it's worth.

I used to use the one that came with MiamiDX, (i don't need one anymore) which did the job for me. Of course you have to have MiamiDx registered, i guess. It always worked fine for me as long as i remember...

There's no need to compile it. All that is required is a tar-extractor and an assign. I just downloaded and tested it, and it works fine.

ok, I think last time I downloaded OpenSSH off Aminet it required compiling.
