Title: What ever happened to Tornado 3D?
Post by: Pyromania on September 13, 2004, 07:39:59 AM
It looked like a nice PowerPC app, now that AmigaOne's and PegII's are shipping where is the PowerPC 3D software, Tornado 3D is a good example.

I believe the sales sucked so bad that they filed for bankrupcy. Sad, I heard T3D was really good.

Both the http://www.eyelight-it.com (http://www.eyelight-it.com) and the http://www.tornado3d.com (http://www.tornado3d.com) has been taken over by domain-jackers.

Bummer, I might not mind buying the rights to this package. Where did the developers go?

Tornado3D was a nice package, I bought it because it looked like the only 3D app on the Amiga with any future in it - sadly I was mistaken, there were none :)

If you have not tried it, please be aware that it is not the most mature and stable program, and allthough it has some nifty feature, it most certainly also has its draw-backs. For instance, AFAIR, any object is limited to a maximum of 2^15 vertices, which sucks :)

Regards,
Michael
