I have an A3000 that died last year. It had a couple of SCSi hard drives (105Mb & 240Mb) and a CD-ROM. I purchased a Adaptec AHA-2940 SCSI card for my WinXP box so that I could copy the Amiga drives into WinUAE. The CD-ROM works fine, but WinUAE doesn't recognise the drives. (They do show up in Window's Hardware Manager). Any suggestions?? :-?

What version of WinUAE are you using?
-
Version 0.9.91

I assume that winuae picks up the Xp harddrives?
perhaps you can make a folder and copy over the amiga SCSI HD contents and use that instead?
just to get it up and running / or until you sort it out...

Unfortunately, I can's seem to find a way to access any of the information on the Amiga drives.

You'll notice under the Harddrives tap in WinUAE that there is an button that says "Add Harddrive", if you click that, a box will appear with a pull down menu and a check box called "Read/Write". If you click on the pull down menu, it will show all drives in the machine that contain a valid Amiga file system, if nothing appears, then WinUAE isn't recognising the file system on your old Amiga drives, hope this helps.

The Amiga drives don't show up on the list, only my WinXP drive.
I'm also getting a message on boot up that the SCSI drives are not starting.

It shouldn't be showing your WinXP drive in the first place, and if there is an error in the SCSI BIOS, it might be wise to rectify that first, double check each drives settings and ensure everything is properly terminated.
Edit...Woohoo, post 929, a :pint: in honour of my old Mazda :-)

I was able to find some info about the Quantum SCSI drive. After playing around with some jumper settings I got the 240Mb to work and am now happily transferring files. Thanks.
I'll try to get the 52 working tomorrow.
