Title: Offensive content on Amiga.org
Post by: anakirob on September 10, 2004, 02:58:50 PM
I honestly don't see what the problem is?

On the subject of the offensive content in question...
OK so the trax list uses the c&f words, so what!
On the GFX: Before you see any GFX you cannot fail to notice the title 'baby raper', and if your easily offended. DON'T FOLLOW THE LINK ANY FURTHER! This is common sense.
On the Avatar: I don't really care if this is an empty picture box, but

I've already lost the plot on this thread.....:-?.

I think i see your point man.

If people are offended, then they shouldnt click it to go any further. They always whine about something, and whatever they can find, they will attack.

Yea,
Something I have kept in mind is that when people are offended by the showings of 'clevage'.... I can't but wondering if the guys here are 'gay' or that their loved one isn't as attractive as the one in the picture.  :-D  :-)

Dont take offence anyone, but was only my input.

*Post not to be taken personally.*

Just in case you were wondering.
http://anakirob.forhorse.org/ has some music modules I made(and four letter words I copied).
'baby raper' is the title of a comic I made a few years back, and it's hopefully soon to be a demo.
and my old avatar was the title panel from that.

It had "BABY RAPER" in big letters @ the top, but the picture was just a (inoffensive) cartoon face.

P.S. If I was you. Don't go making comments on the sexualities of amiga.org patrons, admin here can be very (strict)!

P.P.S. If you guys really want bouncing boosoms, what are you looking here for? :-? I don't think the admin are gay, just trying to run an Amiga (as opposed to porno) forum.

Tis all because ppl get kicked out of the office when they visit sites with pictures and content of puberesque nature at their work.
Btw. the internet is already flooded with "clevage" and so, so I don't think it would add anything interesting to this site.

*AUUUUUUGGGHHHH!!!*

My eyes! My eyes! Speelgoedman, what is the monstrosity in your avatar? Could you at least put up a warning before unleashing it onto your fellow unsuspecting A.org members :-)? Thanks!

That looks like something out of a Joop Klepzeiker comic book :-).

@Cymric
s-sorry
Tis a pic of a monstrosity painted by Eric Schreurs, from Joop Klepzeiker, a comic I liked during my puberty
I had a good puberesque laugh when I saw it
All the gruesomness of one bundled together in one pic

-edit- my current av wouldn't be that much offending, now would it?

Hmm yeah this is a bit like Television isnt it...

I mean to say you get some complaints in the local newspaper all about how disgusted one person was in what a certain TV channel put on one particular night, it also amazes me on how they watch it to the VERY end, why on earth dont they switch to another TV chanel, dont they have a remote? Or channel change switch?

I'm not going to disagree with any of your comments, regardless if I concur or not :-P

But the point is, you have to respect the wishes of the owner of the site. If you came into my house, I might ask you to take your shoes off at the door - I wouldn't expect you to argue about whether they were clean or not....

Hoya!

@Speel

Usually, "handsome" is used for men, not women ;-P

Can't be, I can see that from a mile away.

Btw. don't spoil my attempt to actually appreciate the appearance of a certain woman.

I hope my new avatar is not so objectionable that you all vomit all over your office keyboards! I liked my old one more, 'baby raper' is a bit of an internet joke, and besides: like a real paedophile would go with such a silly avatar.

I was wondering how many of you have actually seen this objectionable material in question (just use the FOR HORSE (http://www.forhorse.org/)), I don't think there is much apart from four letter words to be offended by. Whay do you lot say about that? Cartoon bum's are pretty innocent (albeit juvenile) in my opinion.

Oh, the original post with the link to the files, which got edited and locked by amiga.org contained a message like.

is anyone still coding 68k for fun? do you want to make a cool 64k intro with ahx music and iff ilbm gfx already done?
follow this link for an example, pmail (pref. with examples)me if you want the job.

It was cruel for them to edit out everything exept.

I'm just trying to work out if there is any intelligent life here on earth.

Q)WTF?
A)"Use the 'FOR HORSE', like!"

Q)Use the what?
A)Follow the link, unless of course you're easily offended.

You are using a censorship "discussion" as a flimsy excuse to spam, it's getting quite boring.

[no word usable on amiga.org is suitable here, but most of them start with B]! Is what I say to that!

Ok, so one of my URL's is my signature, so is yours, and so it should be. If it were an excuse to spam, I would post to EVERY thread in amiga.org (and I don't).

I started this censorship discussion, and it was amiga.org's reaction to the content of the URL's I originally posted which prompted it. So my home URL, while not the exact URL's I originally posted, is of utmost relevance to this thread topic as you could follow the links on the homepage to the offensive content in question. It's not hard to find, but you could not fail to notice the titles of the content before you follow the links, and therefore you would be suitably warned of any offence likely to be caused.

Oh and if you think the discussion here is boring... THEN YOU SHOULD SAY SOMETHING INTERESTING YOURSELF YOU [bleep].

P.S. that's not personal, that goes for anyone.

P.P.S. Not an excuse to spam, but still looking for a 68k coder.
