Wow, if an 060 can sell at this price, what the heck is wrong with develpoer? don't they see there is still a good market for this stuff? not that they should sell it at that price.....................the only reason its gone so high is because people are thirsty for power.and quite understandably.
Problem is too many develpoers create something great, but the destroy it by chrging wayyyy too much! and serious lack of proper advertisement........tsk, tsk, tsk..............sad indeed.
Amiga is such a great great great platform and people have abandoned it too quickly..Amiga is creativity............when you create a piece of hardware or sofware that is so awesome in these days...........it really sems even more awesome because of the age of the Amiga.
I have tons of software that just amazes me daily when I use it on the Amiga. Like Broadcast Titler 2.0.............I see PowerPC Macs still struggling to do smooth Text scrolling with iMovie.........its hillarious and sad at the same time when you see a 7mhz Amiga with 2 megs running the Broadcast Titler 2 demo script.
Also SCALA............This program IS The Amiga.
ahhh if only SCALA inc would still be around with the Amiga to create a SCALA MM600 or something! Wow!

I like his A3000T (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5119362576) better, wonder how much that will go for???

US$415 :-o :-o :-o
And it looks as if one of our more fanatical forum members won it.
Edit...only just noticed this. (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=11465)

I was watching these auctions also and it makes me happy to still see there is still this much interest in classic hardware. I still have my A3000T that I bought new, and my A4000D is currently using my CS MKIII 68060 and Picasso IV boards.
I wanted the A4000T Toaster setup that just sold, but not for $1000.00 though :-o
Now if I could just buy an OS 3.9 version of Roadshow :-).

@Jeff
Do you have a link for that A4000T Toaster setup??? More for curiosity's sake than anything else.

I think it's item number 5119957540 and it sold for $935.00. I was looking though, and I still considered buying it. I wasn't sure if I wanted to part with other members of the collection to fund it however.

@Jeff
Thats it, thanks, the description wasn't too great and the pictures no longer work, but you still get the jist.

@Jeff
I won the A4000T Toaster system, it will be put to good use on the Open Video Toaster project.

Surely for the prices some of this kit sells at new ones could be bought, if they were made now that is...

If they were still made now the 2nd hand prices would be waaaaaay down on the current ones.
I wish I was minted so I could buy all this choicey stuff :-)

If they made new ones it would have to be a total new design. Most of
the parts that are on them are no longer made. Thats why DCE hasnt
fixed so many of our boards they had sent to them.
If they designed a new one I agree it would sell, but I think no one
wants to take the investment risk.
