Title: Paper clip for sale on Ebay .com
Post by: amigamad on September 06, 2004, 05:16:33 PM
..In the days of old, rather inconvenient devices were used to fasten documents together. Then, one day, a man bent a wire and discovered that it could be used to retain multiple sheets in a set, and hence the paper clip was born...

Here is the link to this usefull and rare to find item paperclip on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38015&item=2267992785&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW) :-D  :-D  :-D

Thats what I meant.. If people bid 102$ on a paper clip, then I guess it isnt so strange that GW got elected.. ( Or not ) :-)

I just showed the link to a friend... the bid is now $510!!

Honestly.. I'm going to think of something bizarre to sell as well.. There seems to be no limit to stupidity. Has anybody ever considered buying er... ehm... snot, via e-bay?

The winning bid wont pay out, I see things like this sell all the
time. Some others I've seen are dirty underware, one left boot,
missing laundry sock collections ect. All of them get bid up to play
along with the joke.

This is NOT real.I do not believe that anyone is actually buying that.

What I beelieve this actually is is someone who does not like eBay, and is trying to show the world how easily they can be fooled on eBay..............See I believe this buyer got his friends to bid on this item.as many as he can get, to make it look like a highly sought after product, then when the auction ends........he doesnt actually collect anything because they are his friends, and in the end all he gets is free good feedback.
Its a scam...........although I must say that he will be charged a fee from eBay for this if I am not mistaken, but it was probably something he was willing to risk.

Lots of people on ebay do this, to make the prices of the items go higher.

if you read this auction, you can tell he is poking fun, but at the same time wonders if anyon will actually buy this, and have the possibility of making money :-)

I can't believe people are bidding on that when the seller doesn't even have any feedback.

You can get paperclips here in the UK for less than a pound for a full box of 500.

$15,000.00??? Some people have got more money than sense.

That was for a jackhammer gun from a video game called Planetside, anything over 15000 usd has to get validation or something, maybe thats why the paperclip went out.

Hey, I want that SG!!!

I have an RG here that is beginning to look a little dated, so I think I'll upgrade. At £200 an SG is quite cheap!
