I am just curious, for those of you that access Amiga.Org from your Amigas, what browser do you use,
and what made you make that decision ?
I am currently using AWeb 3.4, I downloaded 3.5 beta, but it seems to crash after I am online after
a while. The only thing I don't like about AWeb 3.4 is the constant redrawing of the screen as it loads
the webpages. It is especially annoying when posting, as it seems to do this for every smiley and
button on the page. I also can't use the smileys or the buttons, just the submit button.

Hi! From my Pegasos I use only Voyager, it's quite quick on it.
On my A4000PPC I use both Voyager for compatability and Aweb for speed.

IBrowse 2.3 on my AmigaOS 3.9 A1200, and IBrowse 2.3 on my AmigaOS 4.0 pre AmigaOne :-)
It has the features I want in a browser (like tabbed browsers) and is nippy.

Ibrowse 2.3 all the way!
I was an AWeb fan initially when I first got OS3.9 onto my 040 A4000 - mainly because of the speed of AWeb vs. the lag I'd get from MUI apps.
Since moving up to an 060 when I built my A1200T, Ibrowse has been my default browser ever since. Now that I'm running an Amithlon PC, IBrowse shows very little MUI lag versus AWeb's ClassAct/Reaction interface.
I do pull Aweb out occasionally, but the new 3.5APL version seems to get 'stuck' alot on pages using heavy amounts of Javascript. (It doesn't crash, but navigation is impossible, and I usually have to resort to Refreshing the page)
Back to IBrowse, since version 2.2 (and moreso with version 2.3) it's surpassed the strengths of AWeb.
As for Voyager, I could never get that browser to remain stable at all on any of my setups...but I'm sure the MorphOS version has been retooled and probably much better than the 68k verisons that I'm stuck with...

I use IBrowse all the time on OS3.9 and A1/OS4, it is very fast, especially now we (beta tester) have OS4 native MUI, Picasso96 etc.

On my Macs with OsX I use Safari because its simple the best browser I have ever used. On my A3000 when I still had it, the choice was Ibrowse because of its speed and it worked so well. Now on my Pegasos I was using it, but now I prefer Voyager because its much faster as well as working with more if the web pages I go to. ibrowse seemed to start locking up on several pages like Ebay ect for me.

I used iBrowse back when I surfed with my A1200 (And will again when I get another A1200!) I think it was 1.3 at the time (About 4 years ago?)
At the time, AWeb wasn't as advanced in development and neither was Voyager.. but I couldn't tell you about modern browsers.
Also, once I had purchased iBrowse, it became harder to justify switching to another browser because of the money I'd had invested.
Although.. if a Browser comes out for the Amiga that supports FLASH then I'm there!
What ever happened to the Opera port for the Amiga? I mean.. 4 years ago there was a crack team working on it.. did that fall through? I Loved Opera on the PC! (Of course, I use MSIE when I'm on a PC, because I don't really care on the PC what I'm using, and it works..)

Well, I am using Ibrowse right now, definitely loads the posting page faster. It still wont let me use smileys, but at least the link button works.

Well Voyager has a Flash plugin. On a 060 system it works O-K with some nonCPU intensive Flash. On a Pegasos it works quite fast, but still is spotty on compatability.

If it doesn't have to be Amiga-specific, then I use Internet Explorer. It works wherever I go, so no arguments here. :-)

I mainly use iBrowse 2.3 on my A4000. However, I do have Voyager registered. (Though I hardly use it.) I have AWeb on here as well. (again, I hardly use that one.) LOL
iBrowse seems to let me get on more sites. But no Flash support. The Flash support for Voyager is painfully slow on my '040...

I have registered versions of IB and Voyager on my system. I don't tend to use Aweb anymore because I find the screen refresh problem way too annoying. The latter versions of Voyager worked quite well on my Amiga, although you did have to expect the odd crash every now and then.
IBrowse is much more compatable with many more websites than Voyager is (the Amiga 68K version) and is definately much more stable so IB2.3 is the default browser on my system.
At the moment I'm using Firefox on a Windows machine until I can get my recent HD failure on the miggy sorted out.
