Title: Colour Output on Phoenixboard?? Need new Chips...
Post by: McTrinsic on September 04, 2004, 12:22:15 PM
Hi all,

I am a happy owner of a Phoenixboard for the A1000.

As a feature, back then, it offered an admittedly aharp b/W output on the FBAS and TV-MOD outputs (for Text and DTP back then, the b/w monitors did offer a sharper display back then).

So the question is: is it possible to replace the video-modulating chips with different ones to get a colour output? Replacing is physically no problem since they are socketed.

The chips that might be responsible for the signals because of being close to the outputs are:

a) 2x TI SN74HC245N   90138N   and/or
b) M9130 LF347N

Thanks a lot!
