Title: 040 and 060 libraries
Post by: 6 on September 03, 2004, 02:11:05 PM
I'm using a Viper 1260/56 in an A1200.  I have the Viper 68060 and 68040 libs installed.  I'd swear the board runs slower than my Blizzard 1240/40 in my other A1200.

Is there a faster set of libraries for this board?  Vesalia doesn't have anything in its download area and I am not sure the 060 libs on Aminet are compatible.

Can anyone educate me about the various 060 libs?  Are some better than others?  Will any or all of the other 060 libs work with my Viper?

All help appreciated.

You could test the MMULib.lha system from Aminet.

Let me know if someone provides suitable libraries for you.  What versions have you tried?

I have an Apollo 1260LC/75 I can't get to boot with any 68040/68060 libraries.  Only way it will make it past setpatch is without any, but then I can't run most programs without immediate crashes.  Anoyone know of the wherabouts of "specific" 68060 libraries for the Apollo?  It's an LC model 68060 accelerator.

Thanks,
Adrian

I'm using the Phase5 version of the 68060.library
and a "dummy" 68040.library for my Blizzard1260.
You can download it from Aminet, but it's not the
latest version.
I don't know if it's working with an Viper1260...
You should test it to be sure.

Don't Vesalia include software with their accelerators? If they did but you lost it... why not try asking them nicely they might send you a new one  :-)
