I'm seriously fed up with that guy. He should have been extinct long ago!
-
Along with Abba, Ace of base and A-teens. But at least they tend to shut up nowadays.
Max Martin is responsible for a lot of crap though, make sure he gets extinct...
-
Oh yeah!
That would wipe out Britney Spears and the Back Street boys in the process! :-D
-
HOwever, the guy responisble for Martin Eriksson's (E-type) success was the late Denniz PoP, not Max Martin.
-
...which leads to my conclusion; we'll all be better off without Sweden :-D
..nah, just friendly neighbourhood joking
-
- No, it's not possible to take an angry norwegian seriously.
:-D
-
Oh, I almost forgot:
AQUA!
-
How can you say that? I love E-Type... Esp the V12 drophead. Mmmm....
-
No, you can't run it on Hydrogen!

nah, they're mostly Danish :-D
-
Not totally. You know it will bug you. Just give it a few hours to sink in! :-)
-
I heard Aqua live once............
-
@Odin
Live???? I hope you didn't pay money to see them live???
-
Thankfully we don't have to put up with much Scandanavian music :-P
Oh, didn't you guys forget Roxette?
Apparently there's a blonde Norwegian in the charts here at the moment though...
-
:-?:-?:-?
what the heck are you all talking about????
-
E-type, or Martin Eriksson, they guy who made the theme for the Olympic games (Olympia). He's an old eurotechno plague.
-
Guess I don't wanna hear it...
-
Thankfully there is still Swedish music being made without Eurodiscobeats. :-)

Too bad that none of the Swedish bands that play Good Music(TM) can sing. We'd make a killing on the international instrumental electro/synth/EBM/industrial scene if they'd only fire their singers... :)
Covenant (http://www.covenant.dk/) (Yes, for some unknown reason it's a *.dk URL)
S.P.O.C.K (http://www.subspace.se/spock/)
Spetsnaz (http://www.spetsnaz.se/)
more... (http://www.algonet.se/~nalle5/musik.html)

There's nothing wrong with Roxette...they made great music and I remember it fondly as I was in my last year of school when their best numbers were released.
What I really hate is when these rappers take a baseline from a successful song and then just rap over it and release it as their own. The youngsters today don't even know that the songs are not 100% the product of the 'band'

You mean the DJ at the opening cermony? that wasn´t e-type it was some greek.
E-type's next single "Olympia" which is the official Swedish song for the upcoming Olympic Games in Athens, Greece is now available for listening on Aftonbladet's homepage.
from http://www.etype.dk (http://www.etype.dk)
I liked his music when i was younger. Can´t say I particularly care one way or the other today, if I hear it on the radio I don´t turn it off and I don´t turn it up either.

But you have to take the blame for Rökysopp(spelling?), which always gave me headaches. It didn´t sound like it would but 3/4 into the song I always got a headache.
Not physical painful to the ears like some hardcore techno or speed-grind-earshatter metal can be but....
They should be banned by the Geneva-convention!
-
@ odin
Indeed, agreed.
I thought there was a boing ball in the window of the black Merc(?) parked next to it for second...Arggh!
When will this plague of cheesy boing balls ever cease? I hate them I hate them I hate them!
[I'm also not very fond of blue butterflies either, just to be even-handed]

@odin:
:-o Cant believe i forgot him! He`s sweedish also, i can see a pattern emerging now :-P
-
Well....the opinion that he is Swedish is one that can be questioned really. Not that I'm proud of it, though ;-).
-
@Odin
Oi! Don't slam "The flying Dutchman"! He was truly one of the best Swedish-speaking song-writers there ever was!

I can´t say, I only heard their big radiohit, which for some reason always gave me headaches.
It puzzles me, why I got headaches?
Because it doesn´t sound like it would when I hear it but afterwards I got a headache?
Normal I wouldn´t care about them.
Anyway crap Swedish music:
Eric Gadd- the worst of all
Robyn
actual that isn´t music at all!
@whabang
Why are you tired of E-type?
Hej Monika och Ingen vill vet var du köpt din tröja. that´s real crap! and only played every 5 minutes on the radio :pissed:
-
HAHA! Don't even get me started about those. Nic and his family should have "skottpengar" on their heads! :-x
I'm ashamed of being from the same city as them!

Ingemar Nordströms made a record with hardrock covers.
Smoke on the water on saxophone
-
Heard about black ingvars? They made black/deathmetal versions of "dansband" songs, became cult vorspiel songs
-

They are cult! 8-)
-
Talking of Swedish music - The Hives are very popular here in the UK. Not as a 'pop' band so much as an alternative band.

mid-90s contemporary with Smurf Hits, yes I have heard them. Besides isn´t almost every drummer in the younger "dansbanden" a hardrocker who could find a job as hardrock drummer:-)
