Just make sure the Amiga 2000 has ceramic "Military Spec" chips in it and also a Panasonic floppy and you will be all set. ;)

Well, only one way to find out, have him reply and see how exactly he responds to his threads?

Or we'll start suspecting one another of being Doommy. :inquisitive:

Hmm... Ever notice how Shaf rarely posts recently but suddenly Doomy gets banned and Shaf re-appears...
Come to think of it, I've never seen them in the same room together....

and Tj - it's awfuly convenient that you just happened to drive down and see Doomy, and that you live so close...

:inquisitive:

-edit-

The above post is meant as a joke only!  It's hard to convey humor in text sometimes. :(

What are you saying Rob?

I drove down because I do not trust anyone that accepts Cash only.  And $180 is a lot for me.  I also wanted to preserve the "Mint in box Amiga 600HD" I had just won on eBay, and not have it smashed or damaged.  Some people mail computers with the original box ONLY and send it off!  I didn't want that...  Well the 600HD was not as nice as I though, but atleast I got it, and apparently if I had mailed the $$ I would have probably not seen a thing... :)

I'm just kidding with ya!

I just think it's funny now that Doomy is gone, we're all on Doomy-lookout!

Yeah - one of the long list of things that make collectors like you and me cringe.

Also, the senseless writing on the box.  Like the mint 1080 box I have that says "MONITOR" in huge black marker.  (I'd have thought the full size picture of the monitor would have been the giveaway there...)

Or the A1000 packaging I have that says "ATTIC" on all sides.

Sigh...

What happened to Doomy, er....BoingBoss?  How come he got banned?  I know he was kind of eccentric, etc...but banned?

Yeah I hate that.  I am after a boxed 1200 now.  What all do you have Rob?

For Amiga?  Hmm...
The A1000 stuff, despite the "Attic" marking is my best.  Has all the polys, little read-me first type intserts, quick setup guides, etc.  The monitor even says "Seller - you must register this monitor with the EPA.  Do not sell to a consumer with this tag attached!"

For Atari, I have a pretty good XEGS.

I *had* the original box for a NorthStar Horizon, but it was water damaged when I left it outside in the rain...

Who'd have thought it would rain here?  In Seattle?

Ahhh rain in Seattle.  Yes nice and cool.

I have a boxed A500, A600, CD32, and A4000.

I also have Ataris.  Loose 400/800/1200XL, 600XL, 800XL, boxed 130XE ;)

Also boxed 520ST/1040STf, Mega ST2.  Loose Falcon030 and TT030.

You know,  I just might have a box for my 1200...
I know it sounds odd, but you jogged my memory.  I'll look the next time I'm on Bainbridge Island (where my really, really packed stuff is located)

Even if Doomy is banned, he can still read posts right?  He just can't log in.  You guys are gonna drive him over the edge.  He does love 16-bit Amigas so......and Atari STs

yea, well I heard that a certain Atari ST REJECTED a "late night rendezvous" from a certain Amiga 2000.   No soldering will take place if you know what I mean, <..wink wink nudge nudge>

Yes, the person called DoomMaster loves the Amiga series computers. The Amiga series computers are all 32-bit, it has never been 16-bit. The Atari series computers are also very good computers...

Blah, blah, blah!

(don't hurt me!)

@whabang

What I meant is that Doomy seems to love the first generation 16/32 bit A500/A2000 series.  Though there are 32-bit elements in the architecture, they are not 'true' 32-bit computers, imho (e.g. memory address limitations, ZII narrow bandwidth).  But they still work fine, especially with an accelerator card, which can turn the machine for all intents and purposes into a true 32-bit machine (a la a GVP or Blizzard cpu card with 32-bit memory addressing).  The A1200 and A4000 (and CD32) were designed 32-bit from the start (though C= oddly built in some design limitations for each).

You obvoiusly didn't think my Doomie-impersonation was very accurate!
