Title: Distribuited Amiga
Post by: ikir on September 01, 2004, 09:39:11 AM
I'm confused, i need someone who explain to me simply this thing :-)

What is this? I know that are distribuited client to find alien life form, cancer research. This one?

I've seen that a OS4 client (with Altivec but you need the upcoming updates for this) has been released.

In this news on AmigaWorld.net i've seen also that Amiga.org host the official amiga team. Yesterday my A1 crunched all night. Do i need to "flush" to appear in the official site, then to attribuite my work to distribuited amiga?

What do i need to be included in the distribuited amiga pages? Benchmark? I have not altivec in my prerelease kernel, so is it better to wait before benchmark, or i can edit it later?

Thanks to all in advance.

@ ikir

Are you talking about the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence? [SETI]?

There's a link on the left hand side of this page...

It's "distributed".

My Peg2 crunched more than Athlon XP 3200 or P4 3500 already in 2003 (http://www.iki.fi/sintonen/dnetc-peg2-vec-1.0.txt). That was with slightly unoptimized core though. Now it's 10.7 Mkeys/s.

@Piru

Great :-)

Crunc crunch :-)

I'm waiting to clock my A1 to 1064 + Altivec support

Distributed Amiga is already high in the chart :-O
