Can those IDE -> Serial ATA adapters be used in Amiga (4000 for eg.)?

Has anyone tried it? I've heard that SATA cables are "thin" and that could be good for lack of space in A4000D (though, it might be the only advantage..).
Besides, someday IDE might be extinct.

Well, it won't really help with throughput if there's still a low-density 40-pin ATA connector at each end, but in terms of free space inside the cramped confines of an A400, "why not"?  But then, for much, much cheaper you could have a nice rounded ATA cable that won't take up nearly as much space, so why not go that route instead?

Yeah, I'd just use the rounded cables and standard ATA drives.  :-)  

You may need to have a UATA/66 or newer controller to use those SATA adaptors.
