Title: G5 for only $1,299
Post by: Nautilus on August 31, 2004, 04:14:02 PM
Apple Computer unveiled its new G5 iMac desktop computer on Tuesday which integrates disk drives and processors into a flat display less than two inches thick. Retail prices of the new iMac will start at $1,299 for the 17-inch model.

The price of new AmigaOS 4.0 hardware still too high!
It is a large obstacle for many future users.

You won't need an Amiga under the sea, cpt. Nemo.

Well, it's all in economies of scale.  Apple will sell more of their new G5 iMacs in the first day than the entire production run of all A1's....

A native version of OS4 for non-Amiga PPC computers would be cool.  Or if someone introduces AOM.  (Amiga on Mac to run OS4) That would be cool too.  But both of these are pretty unlikely.

So I'll just sit on the sidelines and watch.

"Amiga on Mac", I will pray for that!
