It's me again. I got my bridgeboard and network card setup, and have even managed to get connected to my home network. I can ping the IP's of the other computers on the network, but that is about it. I would like to be able to access the drives on the other computers, and acess the internet via my DSL router. I don't have a clue as to how to progress from here.
There are 3 other computers on my home network, one running XP, one running ME, and one running 98.
Any help, links, etc. on how to accomplish my goals would be greatly appreciated.

I am posting this from my Amiga, I finally figured out how
to setup AmiTCP to access the internet. I still need help on
how to share drives wit my other computers though, so any
feedback will be appreciated.

Hi there,
What verision of AmiTCP are you using?
I was going to try and get it working on my A600, but I heard it was a pain in the derriere to set up, so I was saving that for a rainy day...
Pray tell :-)

@EdKing
If you need to access your Windows XP, ME and 98 machine HDs from Amiga, I suggest you use smbfs.lha (http://de.aminet.net/pub/aminet/comm/tcp/smbfs.lha).
If you want to be able to access your Amiga HD from Windows, then you need to install amiga samba (http://www.birrabrothers.com/tiger/data/samba/download/).

I an running version 2.3. It actually wasn't as bad as getting the
286 Bridgeboard and ISA network card working properly. After I figured
out what the Install program was asking for, I got it setup fairly
easily. Much easier than Miami in my opinion.

Thanks for the links, I'll try them out

Well, Samba needs AmiTCP 3.0 or better. I downloaded AmiTCP 4.0 demo from Aminet, but I can't get it to work with the EtherBridge device. Anyone know where I can download AmiTCP 3.0 ?

Well, for some reason, I can't get AmiTCP 3.0 to work with the EtherBridge either. It installs and lets me select the EtherBridge driver, but won't link up with it. I wish Samba worked with AmiTCP 2.3, I can get it to work easily. I tried Miami again, but it doesn't link up properly either. I guess I'll have to fight with it some more. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the feedback,

Drop Samba and use AmigaExplorer instead. It is faster and much easier to configure.

You can still use SMBFS to access the Windows drives.

I didn't think of Amiga Explorer via TCP/IP, I have used it via serial port and
it is painfully slow. I'll have to give it a try.

Well, Amiga Explorer crashes the Amiga as soon as I try to connect from the
PC via TCPIP. I guess it's back to the drawing board.

Has anyone had any luck setting up either AmiTCP >v3.0 or Miami using the EtherBridge driver ?

I got samba to work so I can access my Amiga from a PC, but how do you access the PC's from the Amiga? I can't get SMBFS to find any of the PC's
