Hi all,
I just wanted to know if any of you ever heard of a way to boost the performance of the Sidecar.
I don't mean the usual way by adding an SCSI or any other usual ISA-Card, but rather something like a Turbocard for the SideCar.
I think i remember some accelerator being available for the 2088, perhaps something like that is possible for the SideCar, too?
Have fun,

Don't know about the 2088, but the teeny AT Once card gives you a 80286 piggybacked on the 68000 chip directly so it should be compatible with the A1000. Maybe check www.amiga-hardware.com

Heh, my socket is stuffed to the max.
I want to speed up the Sidecar specifically.

The only 8088 upgrade I know of is the NEC V20. It was reverse engineered from the i8088 and is much faster (although not 100% software compatible). It came in 8 and 10MHz. Out of production now but you can find them on eBay for around $10 used. (I was going to upgrade my PCjr with one but my memory board is going bad :-()

I know about the NEC V20.
But how to make the SideCar run at a higher speed?
