I was wondering what is the best paint type program I could get that will run under AF6?
Something close to say Photoshop. (Hopefully a lot cheaper.)
If not Photoshop quality, what is the best?

Hum,
Basically they all work...
Each one (and i have tried them all) has pros and cons, so it's best to have a few at hand...
On my HD i have for example photogenics, ppaint7.1, image FX, Image engineer, XI paint, brilliance, and deluxpaint...
Most can be downloaded as demo versions/shareware...
Have a look in aminet or search google

Those sound great , and in addition i wonder if TVPaint will work ...or Opalpaint for that matter unless an opalvision bd is needed for OP?... when I master the simple task of learning to download from the net I will have acess to most of all my old art programs... thank you

I've got PPaint 7.1 and ArtEffect 4, the latter is a good replacement at about the same level of complexity as Paintshop Pro 7 on the PC, the former is easier for doing small drawings by hand.
ArtEffect claims to need Cybergraphics, but works fine under Picasso on UAE!

For painting, the best programs are TvPaint (see above for link) for 24Bit, and deluxepaint for 8Bit color imho.. For effects and image manipulating etc the best program is ImageFX(http://www.novadesign.com)..
Those sound great , and in addition i wonder if TVPaint will work .
It works fine under picasso96, so running it with uae should be no problem.. why dont you try it out, its free and you can download it here (http://www.amigau.com/c-graphics/tvpaint.htm)

Very cool, thanks for all the replies!
I will try this TVPaint out for sure.
In the good ol' days I used Deluxe Paint IV, which is extremely outdated now.
