Title: Karmanss keyboards.. excellent condition?
Post by: Dragster on August 17, 2004, 07:26:20 PM
Hi, just wondering if anyone has ever bought an amiga keyboard from ebay user "Karmanss".. I bought from him a "excellent condition A4000 keyboard", (yes, my mistake not to ask before..but it looked fine inthe picture and it was claimed to be in "excellent condition", you know..) when I got it on my hands it turned out that it was yellowed.. I claimed for a partial refund directly to him as I was out of town for a month before I actually saw the keyboard and I couldn't do anything with paypal security clause (expired). He wants me to send it back to Canada (US$25 at least) after US$70+ (inc. shipping) I paid for it to get US$47 back.. that makes no sense! So I told him I was running out of options and if he didn't partial refund me, then I'd leave feedback accordingly.. he says, "sure, will do the same".. this is not fare :-(.. darn, I hate this kind of abusive people!

Sad to see this happening in the amiga world...

cheers

Is this the guy who keeps his feedback private?

I once bought ZIP ram from him, for my A3000 (now sold). He shipped the chips in an envelope with very little bubble padding inside, and no anti-static bag of any kind was used. Luckily, 95% of chips worked on arrival. I think I bought something like 32MB+ of ZIP ram, and I at least got 32MB working, which was enough to use in two A3000 and load them up to 16MB each. I figured it wasn't worth to complain about the odd chip not working, here and there, however I definitely will not buy from that guy ever again.

Dragster, it would be wise to let it go as far as feedback is conserned, as he can always retaliate. Perhaps reporting him to eBay would be better? I'm not sure what you can do in order not to provoke negative feedback from the seller.

EDIT:

Or...wait for the last few hours, before feedback giving time is about to expire, and post negative feedback and hope he doesn't catch it before the expiration time.

Hey...it's like bid sniping, except it's feedback sniping!  I like it!

I better hurry up and trademark that, and set up a feedback sniping service...

*edit* excuse me, that's Feedback Sniping(tm)

Haven't check recently, but does he still have that 1 negative he is keeping private?  Must be a juicy one I tell ya!

I hate sellers like that.  I always try to work things out before feedbacks start to fly.  If someone is not happy I will do my best to make it better.  But sometimes I am not given the opportunity, like my latest episode on eBay.  The buyer was not happy and immediately left a negative.  So I gave him a well deserved retaliatory feedback.  Do not feel bad one bit.  If he would of emailed me I would of offered a refund or partial credit.  But his lack of brain cells costed him a negative on his record.  At least you gave him the opportunity to make it better and he opted to ignore you so I would try the feedback snipe!

What is the time frame for feedback and when is the best time to snipe? lol

I'm not sure exactly how long it takes for the feedback to dissapear from the list. I would assume at least a month.
I've never done any "feedback sniping" myself, so I wouldn't know. It just sort of crossed my mind when I gave it a thought on what Dragster should do with Karamanss.

Hmmmm

Yeah

Well, if you go and beat someone up, most likely they'll call the police, rather than give you money.

And what if you get the address wrong. Knock on the next door neighbour's house by mistake, and give them a beating...'Oops'.

Doomy: Knock, knock.
Karmanss: Oui?
Doomy: Karmanss?
Karmanss: Oui.
(Doomy starts punching).

What do you do when after the beating the guy says he does not have the cash in hand?  Take him to the ATM?  Bwahahaah that is funny.  No you take him to his computer and have him Paypal you the money on the spot.

What do you do Doomy?
