Are there any? I can't think of any. Isn't that strange?

Hum,
What is believed the first-ever hurricane in the South Atlantic Ocean was recorded just a few months ago...
It was a minimal hurricane with winds of 74-95 mph, and was first spotted 275 miles off Brazil.
It has no name because of its unique nature.

Heh, nice - it's even spinning clockwise, the opposite way from northern cyclones. Coriolis effect proven. :)

well, as this happened in the southen hemisphere, i made a sad attempt at humor. if i could have figured out how to do it (quickly), i would have had the name upside down, but I really had to get a bit of work done today!

Anyone remember the Simpsons episode where they went to Australia and had the modified toilets that would swirl the "right" way when flushed?

Karma, man!
Seriously, there are cyclones in Australia. The (very) infamous Cyclone Tracy comes to mind. Surely you've heard about her?
