Title: Nice sight
Post by: graffias79 on August 15, 2004, 04:51:46 PM
According to my astronomy software, come this August 23rd, if you can see the constellation Scorpius, the crescent moon will be very near the star Antares.  I hope there won't be any clouds blocking the way, as that will be a very pretty sight.

Yeah,
it`ll be a bit low in the south...
in fact the half moon will have set before it get really close to Antares (less than a degree, on the 24th at 4 in the morning)

But a nice sight...
