The unthinkable is approaching, the unimaginable is happening! The newly arrived Neo Geo AES system that i have just spent on is now taking over my professional gaming! :-) My Amiga is now nothing but a shadow of its former beastly setup. Months of costs and being ripped off has now finally taken its toll on me and i am on the verge of quitting altogether in favour of the slightly cheaper Neo Geo setup. I am already selling items on Amibench such as simms and Tower cases in order to raise money for me but i am not ready to quit fully just yet but it is nearing.

If you must defect, at least think of me, especially if you have a DKB 3128 board or PIV somewhere there. I'll give you a good price for those.
-
Hum,
you must be defective!
Still, i suppose that they'll bring out a neoUAE port to emulate the old system eventually...

Who ripped you off? That sucks. There are good guys in the market though such as Computer City and Anachronism(;-)).
Consider reconsidering. There are alot of nice people in this community (c not k). Maybe get Amiga Forever for use on a PC, you will get Amiga withdrawls quickly.
-
NOOOOO! :cry:
Please! At least save a pair of ROMs, and keep running UAE! :-(
-
Get an A1200D system and an accelerator with SCSI (e.g. B1230-IV) and keep the system low profile, and enjoy an occasional game or an application. Just don't quit! :-)

Hello,
@redrumload
The guy who ripped me and many others off is someone called "Bernd Binder". You can read the whole fiasco here:
Bernd Binder Fiasco (http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=7198)
I will hand onto my A1200 for now in its very basic type, but will need a desktop case. I have had no luck in finding a cheap 060 accelerator.

(Oh, that looks somewhat inappropriate so I'd better assure everyone I'm laughing at the juxtaposition...)

@that_punk_guy
The Juxta Position...? Haven't heard of that one. How do you...;-)?
Cheers,

Tut!
(Ankhamen.)
Ohhh, that was a new low. :-D

Ankhamen?
Like Kent Brockman from The Simpsons?
getting lower....:-)

Damn!
I was denied on ebay of getting a cheap Apple Mac with 500mhz G3 PPC - for £60!
-
You could always run an Amiga under emulation....
-
Right i am negotiating with someone over buying an iMAC G3 700mhz computer. Then i will see how Amiga emulation goes with that. If not, then i will stick with a A1200D for gaming. I am selling my A1200 Power Tower / parts anyway.
-
Why not just still keeping a plain A500 for games?
You can't put an end to this and you know it!
Just look at that blue workbench screen, those icons,you know you want to toy around with the Amiga, with it's synthesizer and it's animation capabilities.. you know you want to play the games you know...
-
@Speel
:lol: I got rid of my A500 for an Amiga enthusiast about 3 years ago. But i will keep my A1200 desktop for gaming purposes. I don't intend on doing anything else with it as that will be left for the Mac to do.

Are you saying that there's been an Amiga enthusiast locked in your basement for 3 years. :-o
