Title: EZTower Z4 DIY Kit
Post by: Trev on August 07, 2004, 01:35:42 AM
Hello, all. Anyone know just how much do-it-yourself work is involved with the EZTower Z4 DIY kit? Is there just a bit of extra assembly, or should I be charging up the Dremel?

You need to cut off the back plane of the case (where the ports are) and replace it with the one supplied using rivets (which are not supplied).  You then attatch a side panel for the 1200 to sit on.

You also need to cut off the panel with the slots from the original back panel and screw that onto the new back panel.

After all that it's just a case of removing the case speaker and plugging everything in.

It only takes about 20 minutes to change the panels.

I suppose for £39.99 its worth a try, I myself use a Jupiter full tower from Maplin for £39.99.

But I just might give the Z4 a try. It should take a Mediator with Apollo accelerator shouldnt it?

Hum,
i suppose that it`s quite difficult if you  don`t know what you`re doing...
but generally (i suppose) it`s EZ ...and the finished article  looks quite professional.

Though a hours work on a `standard full PC tower is not beyond my meagre skills (hammer and metal saw needed)
