Dear Boing Boss
In another thread you said you have used or owned just about every computer there is. I found something that you would absolutely LOVE:

Scroll down to the A2200 specs. Now that is the only A2000 I would ever swap my A4000T for, and only because it is so rare.
If what they say is true, only 10 were made. I reckon you should make it your lifelong mission to get one, my good man.
Out of curiosity, how many of those computers in the list have you SEEN, never mind used?

Unfortunately this model was never released to the public, apparently however several prototypes were built and shown.
Some demo machines may have reached dealers but this has not been confirmed. I have seen conflicting reports that this machine was designed after the A4000 and A1200 and was designed as a mid-range machine between the two. Other reports have said that the A2200 was built before the A4000 and was scrapped, but much of the research was used in the building of the A4000

I saw that in BBAH. Didn't seem too much better than an A1200 (albeit in a desktop case) and not nearly as powerful as the A3000+.

A friend of mine was going to buy one of those from "Computer Answers" in Canada sometime
back in mid '95...he ended up buying a 1200 instead, and they ripped his money (got it back
from his credit card company though...lol). I doubt they actully had any for sale, I'm pretty
sure it was just a scam. It also was never clear in their ads whether the "A2200" was a
real Commodore product, or designed by someone else out of A1200s or something.

Thanks for letting me know about the Amiga 2200. I contacted some friends of mine (we worked at Commodore together) and they located one of the rare Amiga 2200 computers for me. I called the person who has it and bought it. It will be shipped to me in the morning. Thanks for the info. Now I have the rarest of the Amiga 2000 Series computers and it has AGA !!!! OH WHAT A HAPPY DAY, OH WHAT A HAPPY DAY !!!! :-D :-D :-D :-D Sorry Eddie Murphy, I did not mean to steal your line. :-P

The only thing the Amiga 2200 has in common with the 2000 is the first digit! The 2200 is more like a 1000 than a 2000. Rare indeed. Post some pics when you get it Doomy!

Bet you haven't seen/used almost every computer though.. go to www.homecomputer.de and see just how many different machines there are! Or did you mean Amiga computers?
