Hello,
Nothing seems to be going my way recently so i might just step out of the "professional Amiga" limelight and go back to my roots..... the basic desktop Amiga 1200! :-)
I currently have some stuff that i may get rid of:
Power Tower (ATX PSU and convertor)
Power Flyer
30gig HD?
2 x 128meg RAM?
IDE 32x CD ROM Drive
IDE CD RW (forgot the specs)
Keyboard
PPC Software
The ones with the question marks i am not too certain as yet. As a consequence, i am after the following items:
Amiga 1200 Desktop case (preferbly non yellowing)
Blizzard 1260
PCMIA CD-ROM / CD RW Drive
Laptop 4g HD (that would fit in A1200 desktop case)
If anyone has these at cheap prices, or if anyone is interested in purchasing my stuff, then please mail/pmail me and i might be interested.

I've been thinking of doing the same thing, pulling my 1200 out of its tower and putting it back into the original case (but keep the accelerator and everything of course!).. That still doesn't solve the problem of not having enough room to have it properly set up :-(

Yes i am aware of them problems. There is also the PSU problem as well, but i will see what happens later. But i am doing this because of the money, it is cheaper doing it like this. When i originally owned a Blizzard 1260, the money wasn't really being used much for constant updates, repairs, etc. But then i got a PPC and has to keep spending to update, repair things which has cheesed my off. Then i get ripped off over buying another PPC, which left me completely pissed. Maybe i will keep the tower, to solve the space problem.
Okay, i forogt to mention to sell:
Blizzardvision (CyberGraphics 4.2)
And wanted:
Any graphics card for Amiga 1200 (suitable for setup)

I have a fairly stuffed desktop A1200. Losing the portability and small form factor were not options. I think I built a nice stable system that is still practical. BTW, it's pretty easy to cram everything in there.
Specs:
A1200
Blizzard 1260/060-50MHz w/64Mb RAM
Blizzard SCSI IV w/64Mb RAM
ScanMagic Internal SD/FF
Hitachi 20GB ATA-6 2.5" HD
Amtrade HD Floppy
Bigfoot P/S
PCMCIA Ethernet
Good luck. I have a US keyboard/case if you like. But, I think shipping to the UK would kill any sort of deal.
Also, if you get an A1260, then try to get a SCSI IV. You can add more memory, and use an external SCSI CD-ROM freeing up your PCMCIA for a NIC.

Cheers for the information! What are the average prices for Blizzard 1260? I take it they still hold their price, concidering Amiga OS 4 aint out yet.

I think the prices on the Blizzard 1260 are still high, but haven't seen anyone on Amibench in the past few weeks.
I have also recently upgraded to a BlizzardPPC, going from Blizzard 1260, and I haven't had to spent money on upgrading or repairs at this point, about half a year later.
I have 5 PPC boards at this point, and haven't had any problems with those yet. I'm keeping at least 2 of them to run OS4 when the time comes.

I do know a shop in The Netherlands who has brand new Blizzard 1260, but you would better buy a secondhand.

The price is too high: 399 Euro's.
An A500 PSU is also suitable to run a setup with a Blizzard 1260, a laptop harddisk, 1 external diskdrive, SCSI-kit, 128 MB memory and a scandoubler.

For myself I have an A1200 in original desktop with 3.1 that I wanna get rid of for something decent, not necessary for money. It has got a Powerflyer on the motherboard and the harddrive and CDrom are external somewhere next to my internal floppy drive if there is enough room om my chaotic desk. If that one leaves that I still have got two A1200T´s and three A4000D´s from which one also has to leave ...

Nope, I'm just messin with you guys. :-D
Afterall, I myself have an Amiga 500 Tower. Just try putting one of those big motherboards into a PC tower case. Man, it was a fricken nightmare. The case is HUGE !!!! :crazy:

I wouldn't try running that setup on an A500 PSU.
When I got my Blizzard 1230-IV I had a few crashes on the A1200 PSU,
when I got the SCSI-IV kit I blew both the A1200 and an A500 uprated
supply.
(I didn't even have a 2.5" hard disk!)
The external scandoubler might be taking a lot of juice, I'm not sure
- but 128mb of RAM will definately eat power (especially if it's 1k
refresh!).
Get a 200watt PC AT or ATX power supply and follow online conversions,
or better still look for a Wizard Powerbox or Goliath PowerSupply.

I agree though, the A1200 wedge is far nicer than the towered A1200s.

Yup. That would have been awesome. I wish such a thing existed.
Still, it could be done with BPPC/BVPPC combo, however some extreme cooling is required.
