Title: CDTV-Floppy => A500/2000/1200
Post by: textory on August 01, 2004, 06:11:03 PM
Someone just offered me a cdtv floppy drive. Does it fit into Amigas? Or should I try to get another one. Hopefully C= did not change the pins on each model (I remember that I was a bit surprised when I compared the parallel ports of a A1000 to a A500 ...)

Hmmm... got the feeling that this is a question in absolute beginners style...

Thanks in advance

Hi

FDD connectors should all be the same universally with the Amigas.  The Parallel port on the A1000 was indeed different from the rest of the Amigas, but every one after the A1000 was the same.  Some also say that the L R out for audio is reversed on some Amigas but I've personally never come across this phenomenon.  channels 0 and 3 should be L and 1 and 2 should be R.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. This black box will really look cool on my nicotine yellow A2000.

@graffias79: I didn't come across this phenomenon either. I'll keep in mind til I find one.
