Title: God bless bootable CD's
Post by: Lo on January 31, 2003, 03:46:55 AM
I double clicked (oops) a file in QNX and wiped out all the startup-files aargh!!(no OS on HD).   Rebooted with the QNX CD, installed that, popped in the AmigaOSXL, installed AmigaXL, used the     QNX Voyager browser to fetch IBrowse2.3 demo, but during that install, forgot it needed MUI (oops again).  Fetched MUI38usr, savedĀ it to HOME: , installed MUI, then IBrowse, back on amiga.org in less than 10 minutes (6?)

I can imagine trying all that with floppies and a dialup connect. yeech...

Anyone else have cool bootable CD experiences?

Now to work on a custom Amithlon CD :)

Best bootable CD experience Ive had is knoppix-Linux
which I use to demonstrate to Linux-Cynics how their
system would work ( or not which is a bit embarassing )
with Linux.

Second best was Alien Breed Tower Assault on the CD32
WOOOHOOO!

What a game.
