I've just setup a quick WiP page on my website to allow me to keep everyone up-to-date with my progress on the Instant Messenger application I'm writing.
Currently there are only a few screenshots running on OS4, but I hope to add to the features and progress reports as time, and progess, goes on.
Have a gander at The Snakepit - Epistula (http://www.the-snakepit.co.uk/epistula/) :-)

Looking good. :-)
I'm struggling with Jabberwocky and it lacks some features still.
Keep up the work.
-
Is this for classic miggys also?
-
Well the screenshots were actually taken on an 68k A4000 so i guess so :-D
There will be advantages to running it on PPC OS4 though, such as application.library and AmiDock etc.
-
Oh, I had assumed OS4 == AmigaOne. Looking forward to the release.
-
awsome, thankx!
Looks good so far!
-
looks very cool
-
Yeah looks great, keep us posted.

I remember you mentioning this about a year ago or something. It's nice to actually see some screenshots of it, it looks very nice, whats the status of the development at the moment?
It'll be nice to have a go with it one day, looks very good, I'm excited :-)

Using a plugin system is a great idea. How flexible is it going to be ? Is it going to be an open system ?
-
@adolescent
I'm a beta tester so I have access to the m68k parts of OS4. Well from a while back anyway. They're all PPC now and I don't have a Cyberstorm PPC :-(
@seer
The plugin system is quite flexible. Basically, each plugin is spawned from the main process and the client and plugin communicate with each other via message ports.
I suppose it would be a good idea to release some sort of SDK kit to allow others to create plugins as they see fit.

I've just updated the Epistula website (http://www.the-snakepit.co.uk/epistula/) with a FAQ... hope that answers a few of your questions :-D
-
If you want, I can test the prog on my Amiga (se sign) then you'll atleast now if it works on CSPPC with 3.9. :-)
-
Looks promising... I want it as soon as "it's done". Any estimates on that by the way? years to go so I better get Jabber in the meentime or 3-6 months so I don't have to bother with Jabber?
