Per the subject line, recommendations on color inkjet printers that are supported by TurboPrint 7.3x please??? User experience and printers with a parallel interface are preferred. Thanks in advance!

I recommend a epson stylus range printer which produces excellent quality output with Turboprint 7.xx and the ink carts are very very cheap, 3 sets (3 colour 3 Black) for only a Tenner (10 GBP),
I currently use a Epson Stylus 660 and it is a superb printer and produces excellent quality,
watch out though a lot of new epsons are USB so read the box :-P :-P
one last note on printer ink, do not be fooled in to paying the stupid prices for Epson`s own brand ink as it is rip off and you can get ink for about 80+ percent cheaper elsewhere (Epson compatable carts).

I`ve got an epson c20, and my experience is that it is quite thirsty , although is is quite cheap and almost phonographic quality.

I have an Epson Stylus Photo 790 and I think its a great printer, esspecially now that I have found a very cheap source for inks :)

Let me re-ask the question with one additional requirement. The printer has to have the ability to print banners.
(I am finally forced to retire the PaintJets that have served me so well for over ten years becuase no one in the U.S.A. seems to have refillable carts for it.)
Again, thanks from both of us for any input.
Best,
Bob Kennedy

Thank you all for the suggestions!! Using PriceWatch.com (http://www.pricewatch.com) I found an Epson Stylus Color 660 for $45. (Too bad the shipping is $25, geesh, oh well!)

Epson Photo Sytlus 790 if you can still get them.
USB / Parallel so you connect to PC & Amiga at the same time. Cheap Cartridges on eBay
(2 black & white / 1 colour for £16.)
Dont try and print on both at the same time a Windows get confused :-D :-D :-D :-D

@SilvrDrgn
Be carefull with "cheap" printers, as they come only half-filled
and new ink cost a fortune for these models.
(Don't know if that is true with the 660)
I also got a Photo_790 (is it epidemic ?) and I really like the
fact that it has parallel and USB, and won't protest if you
have them both connected to a computer.

I use a Canon S450 and I get my ink refill stuff from the link below, cheapest I have found anyway, UK.
http://www.eurojet-cartridges.co.uk/contact.asp
At this site you can get a refill package which includes black and all three colours and everyhting that you need to do the refill for £9.99 + VAT
They also sell third party cartridges which are very cheap.
I have not seen another site in the UK that caters for so many printer types..........

I believe you can if you set up SAMBA. Which is apparently not a very easy task :-)

If anyone is local to Bowlers Trafford park Trafford (M60 J9) you can get 6 sets (6 Colour 6 Black) for only £18 (Epson Compatables).

I agree with the main comments on running costs etc of the Epson .. I ran a Stylus Colour 600 on my Ami under Turboprint for quite some time, in fact its still running, but on my daughters machine.
Only problem/s with Epson are
1> They're noisy
2> For top quality print you MUST use decent paper
3> If the print head becomes blocked/stuffed then the printers (generally) stuffed !!
I am now running a HP 970cxi which is so quiet you wonder if its working.
BUT
Ink is DAMN expensive ,£30 a cartridge...... however, that cost can be somewhat justified by the fact that the print heads are in the ink cartridge, so, in effect, you get brand new print heads everytime you replace the resevoir.
