Hi All
Ive got a problem with my Algor USB... when I reflashed it with LMBMMB.module (simply because trying to add poseidon or any module didn“t work) now my computer no longer boots. Yes, I know that reflashing the module was not recommended but as I bought this Algor from other user I thought that he may have changed the default module. So I flashed it with the DEFAULT module.
I have tried it with a 4040, a 4060 and my 4060T without luck. In the 4040 it crashes just after the boot menu (just before reading anything from disk) with a guru 80000004 or so...
I think that there are some jumpers labeled JTAG or something like that that would allow me to boot without using the flashrom and then I could erase the contents.
I guess that the problems comes from my stupid idea of adding the A1000jingle module to the standard poseidon
Anyone knows how should I put the jumpers? I can't boot my miggy with the Algor USB card installed :/
I simply installed the default module because the previous owner may have overwritten it so I can't see the problem.
It doesn't matter that I press the left mouse button because it doesn't boot...

Don`t touch the JTAG connector. It isn`t meant for jumpers, it`s for connecting to a programmer to upload new firmware logic.
Have you contacted Micheal Bohmer of E3B about it?

Any other suggestion?

Press and hold the LMB then switch on the miggy, that will diable the flash, then remove the module that caused the chaos.
p.s. you got he Blizzard and Spectrum yet ?

Which version of Luciferin/Bootloader were you using? Be sure to have at least V1.4. V1.5 is available for some time now. The latest version is V1.6 and can be obtained directly from me (email) or E3B.
As about getting the machine to boot again: Connect an Amiga Mouse (the standard port) to the machine, press and hold the middle* mouse button, turn on the machine. The machine should boot up normally now. Then install the new version of Luciferin and a new bootloader with LMBMMB support. Also, clear the contents of the flashrom in case the previous owner had flashed stuff that is not compatible with your machine.
If this still doesn't work (or you don't have a mouse with three buttons), contact Michael Boehmer on instructions how to boot the machine with the Algor card installed (you need to set a "jumper" at two certain pins of the Expansion port, get detailled instructions first -- and please don't fiddle with the JTAG port!).
* Due to a mistake from my side, the LMBMMB and MMB bootloaders were mixed up *in the very first software version released with first batch of Algor cards*. I am sorry for this error and take the full responsibilities.
