Does anyone know why frogger crashes?

How about stack? That's usually the culprit. Try raising it so something huge, like 600000.

Hi, Crusher!
Are you sure all your environment variables according
your gfx card are set correctly? I had similar problems
here with Frogger & CybervisionPPC: I had to
setenv powerpc/gfxaddr $e0000000
copy env:powerpc/gfxaddr envarc:powerpc
and
set powerpc/force 1
copy env:powerpc/force envarc:powerpc
The value of your gfxaddr will probably be different...

Wow, that's a gorgeous Workbench, 1600x1200 must be awesome.
:-)
Do you have FBlit installed? I know here it demands it and might be
conflicting with your GFX card?
I'm not sure how Frogger responds to being run on a GFX card but if
FBlit is running AND the RTG drivers then that could be making a
nuisance of itself.
:-D :-D :-D

It looks to me like Frogger is crashing when it's trying to use the required codec for your video file. Make sure you have the latest codecs package installed which is actually seperate from the FroggerPPC package.

Here's a picture of FroggerPPC running on a graphics card Workbench to prove it works ;-)
