I have a cd32 and want to make CD's with as many miggy games as possibe on them so I can somehow set up a menu and launch the games on the cd32.
Is this possible?
It would be great to be able to carry the cd32 with a couple of cd's to mates houses to play classic miggy games from the cd32 instead of lugging the my a2000 around just for a sensi tourny.
Any help aprreciated.

Basically, no.
If UAE would run on the CD32, then it'd be possible. :-)
There are many reasons why it won't work, but the most important one is that almost every trackloading game hits the floppy hardware - you need to write the images to disk and boot from disk.
If you attempt a ram drive approach, you'll find out that
1) you'll soon run out of ram, the CD32 only has 2MB chip
2) no custom disk format game will boot from a recoverable ram drive

Pity.
so the only thing i can do is burn orignal cd32 iso's of the games already available for cd32. That leaves very little in the way of choice.
Cheers anyway.

You might be able to use WHDLoad (on aminet). It's a tool to install old Amiga disk only games on HD and play them directly from WB. All old A500 games i've tested on my A1200 have worked perfectly with this tool. It would require you to write those ADF's back to disk and then rip them again with WHDload.
Search for WHDLoad on aminet and you'll also find the individual settings/ripper for each game.

There is an official site (http://www.whdload.de/ (http://www.whdload.de/)) but it seems to be a bit too popular at the moment ;)

Then ofcourse you would have to make a bootable CD that boots into WB with WHDLoad installed and with the game rips you want installed.
(Hmm, sounds like a cool idea over all, perhaps I'll revive my old CD32 this way :)

I have been planning to make a CD compilation like this myself for months now, but my main problem is: my a4k is dead :-( :-( and it doesn't seem to exist any burning software for the PC that supports making bootable CD32 iso's ...
Maybe I could get it to work using UAE and making the iso, and burn in a standard PC CD-Recording program.
Would this work? Anyone?
-
fx:
You can use MakeCD (and probably other burning software) with WinUAE.
-
On the the PC it might be possible to image a cover disc that boots to workbench then with an ISO editor (like WinISO) remove the files not needed to boot & replace with your games collection...
possibly...
Don't have a working CD32 to test on (or a burner ATM... damn things only seem to lasting me 3 months...)
And b4 anyone sayz it... yes I'm gonna have to stop burning so much porn to CD ;-)
CD32 Emulation in WinUAE...hmmm :)
-
Suggestion: next time you buy a CD Burner, get it from a place that offers extended warranty so that if the device dies you get a free replacement. Maybe then your CD burer will last longer.

The drives have been in their std. 12month warranty the shop just take their time checking it's dead b4 they'll give me a replacement...
Been waiting a couple of days should be able to pick up the new one today :-)
Got CD32 Emulation working in WinUAE so I can test without burning to CD (Burn to image then mount with Virtual Daemon) needed to get the kickstart off the net as my CD32 is dead

Would any of these techniques work for the CDTV?
I have one collecting dust...

Yes, but the copyright file is different.

There's an ISO available for download with 100 games, ready to run on an unexpanded CD32! It even comes with a nice menu, information about the games (magazine ratings+screenshots) and some demo's. A must have for every CD32-user.
