Title: Jabberwocky|STrICQ under WinUAE
Post by: Calen on January 30, 2003, 12:02:33 AM
Does Jabber work?   been trying to get it going but it seems to be stuck at "connecting" on any servers i try.
With STrICQ it seems to freeze up once i open the prefs, also installed is the optional GUI for it as well.

Any tips?

Latest versions of WinUAE, Jabber & STrICQ under OS3.9 BB-2 and XP

Cheers

Last time I asked on the Jabberwocky listserv, it did not work in WinUAE.  Something about not accessing the built in bsd socket correctly, and that has not been corrected as far as I know.

Not sure about STRICQ as I haven't tried to use it since Jabberwocky came about.

Maybe the Builtin WinXp firewall needs unlocking in order forthe programs to connect.
