Greetings,
Just heard the news on the local radio station.
Chris O' Donnel is probably the new superman.
"Up Up and Away" again! :-o

O' Donnell ? The same as Robin in Batman ?
-
Yup, as in robin!
Anyway, it would probably change. The director is still looking for more lead roles.

I think they should get Christopher Reeves to do it again.

hmm He doesnt seem the type for that role, he just about filled the boots as Batmans sidekick.
Some rumours from last year was that Nicolas Cage would be the new Superman.
No idea who would be ideal for this role. I guess the guy who plays him in smallville aint to bad, or they could just go for some new unknown guy
Whatever the outcome, i hope they don't feck it up.
As for Chris Reeves, he was great at the role and is quite the superman in his own life battles.
A guest appearance would most likely be on the cards as he did in Smallville.

I think they should use CG, and magically put Reeves back into the role of superman. If they devoted all the processing power used in Shrek2 just on building the Superman character, and everything else was live action, it would probably look great, and it would make him having super powers more believable.

:-o
I don't see that happening, even if he never had that accident, he would be to old for the role. I see what your saying though, but no, someone real please!
They had the right idea with the new Spiderman, very well done. They just need to do Superman on a bigger scale :-)
Not knowing exactly what time period in his life it will be set, i hazard a guess it wouldnt be that old..so they will get some young blood in.
Those special FX you mention sound costly, they would probably want to devote that budget to the actual action.

the best and most difficult special effect is a well written script.

Indeed, they aint exactly rushing this out the door so i hope they use that time well.
