Title: WTD: Amiga 4000
Post by: nevermore on July 17, 2004, 08:15:44 AM
Hello folks,

I'm going to building an Amiga 4000 Toaster System, or an equivalent souped up A2000/2500. I had a question or two for the group here:

- Is there any reputable place to find Amiga hardware aside from Ebay?  I live in CA and would prefer a local source.

- Siginificant differences between the A2000 Video Toaster Card and the A4000 one?

Thanks in advance,

Hi:

I have an A-4000, and 2- A-2000 toasters.  The 4000 toaster works.  I don't think the 2000 toasters work, but not sure.  I have the A4000 toaster software on floppy disk, but don't have a 4000 Toaster manual. but don't have the 2000 software, but have a 2000 Toaster manual.

I also have genlocks and a Parr card. I would have to hook them up to see if they work or not.

I don't know what the difference is between the 4000 and 2000 toasters.  I used Lightwave in my business and that was the only way i could get to the program until they released it for the PC, then I bought that.

If u have a CD-RW that will work in the Amiga 4000, with software, I would be interested in a trade. I don't care how fast it is.

Let me know if u are interested.

@nevermore:

You will find some info about the differences between the "Video Toaster" and the "Video Toaster 4000" on this (http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/search.pl?product=video+toaster&company=) page.
