Title: Crashes with AMOS
Post by: Matt_H on July 16, 2004, 07:14:36 PM
Pretty much anything AMOS related on my low-end Amiga (A600 w/ WB3.1) crashes with an 80000004 Guru. Any ideas? I would have thought this spec of a machine would be great for AMOS stuff, but it seems that's not the case.

EDIT: Oh, and there's 4MB of RAM in the PCMCIA slot, but this was happening even before I added that.

Have you tried Relokick to drop it down to KS1.3?  Also are you running the latest version of AmosPro?   :-?

No, they're just programs written in AMOS. They work fine on my A4000T w/ 060 and 3.9 and on my A1200 w/ 060 and 3.9. Just not on the simple A600. I'm very confused.

Is it possible they are using some 68020+ opcodes anywhere? Also I think the 68020+ are more forgiving with misaligned data access than the original 68000 ( or is that the other way round? ;-) ) so perhaps there are some dodgy accesses?

That amos code crashes on any system never surprises me.
