Hi all.
I´ve finally got my hands on a CSPPC233/060 and it works fine in my A4KD but when I want to put it in my A3KT then I get checksumerror all the time. But not when changing back to the 030. I use the Amiga SCSI and not the UW.
I have all the new chip installed and I have the P5 libs and the jumpers are according the manual.
Brdclk J102 = 2-3 EXT
Cpuclk J104 = 1-2 INT
Quadclk J100 = 3-4 EXT
Anything else I missed? :-?
EDIT: I have no other cards in it either and I have ripped out the motherboard fastmem ´cause they where connecting badly since before so...
-
Have you done the Int2 hack ? it`s needed even if you don`t use the UW SCSI.
Look at the vgr website (http://vgr.com/int2/)for more info.
-
This is why I like Amiga.org, people answer so fast. :-D
The int2 mod is not needed on an A3KT, or should I say this anyway. I have had other acc-cards in it working great. :-)
EDIT: I´ll check it anyway, maybe it was patched by a private person and it has losen or something. Any other ideas before I get the screwdriver?
-
That's incorrect. Some (maybe all?) revisions of A3000T do not have the _INT2 line and require the fix.
-
Yepp, this one didn´t have it originally. There was a patch but it had losen. Well well, thank you all for replying. Hope someone else see this thread so they don´t spend over a day to test disks and so on. :crazy:
Hope this solves all my problems. :-)

Int2 is not needed even if you dont use the scsi. I used mine without the have for over a year. Chances are doing the hack and using the cyber SCSI will work though.

Hi Crusher
ckeck this:
U103 is a 74F08 chip?
J100= no jumper
J104= 2&3 (why internal?!?)
and then . . .J102?!?
Ciao
EDIT- mhhh . . .on CSPPC manual, is suggested the jumper settings made by you . . . .don't know so
-
@Acill
I´m gonna use the UW scsi so I have to make the patch anyway. :-) Although, it´s strange that it doesn´t work.
@Framiga
U103 is 74F08 yes.
The other jumper settings I read from the manual that you can download from The Big Book of Amiga Hardware (http://hard-ware.de/amiga)
I thought it was strange with the J104 too, but I read the documents from Dave Hayne that these jumpers are a bit dependent of each other.
-
Ok, I´ve now done the Int2 patch. Computer didn´t stop showing ChecksumError, but if I didn´t use any memory on the CSPPC then everything works??
I have used other mems and put them in seperate banks and so on... "Checksum Error" until I take´em out. :-(
I´ll test it in my A4KD again *sigh*.
I´ve tested it with the J104 on INT or EXT, no difference.
-
The darn thing works flawless in the A4KD. :admonish:
-
Reading the manual it says that 3 jumpers needs to be set as follow: BRDCLK = EXT, CPUCLK = INT, QUADCLK = EXT... also sais that the INT2 fix is needed and that the busclock should be set to external.
-
Done that been there :-)
Hmm.. busclock? I thought that was only on Draco an such computers. So where should that jumper be? :-?
-
Jumper setting for a CPU board, that requires EXT clock (like an A3640) for A3000T:
J100- no jumper
J104- 2&3
J105- no jumper
J106/J107- 1&2
Bye
-
Ok, I´ll test that. Thanks :-)
-
I´ve tested now and it didn´t work all the way. But with your help and some Dave Haynie files I managed to find a jumpercombination that works.
J100 = 2-3
J102 = 2-3
J103 = 1-2
J104 = 2-3
J105 = 1-2
J106 = 1-2
J107 = 1-2
Here´s a picture of it too:A3KT-CSPPC-jumpers (http://img469.imageshack.us/img469/7215/csppca3ktsquares2kb.jpg) *WARNING, BIG*
Thanks everyone, now I´m reeeeeally happy. :-D
