Ok, I had written a two page post describing my problem, pressed submit and my net connection had dropped off while I typed the problem, so I lost it all.
This is not my day.
My problem is, I was extracting a zip file from a 720k PC floppy to the Main (DH1) partition of my HD.
An error about a cache came up, the computer froze now when I try and boot I get errors such as:
SFS-II Error Requester
Device DH1:
Read attempt outside partition!
and
SFS-II Error Requester
Device DH1:
ALERT:
Wrong dirblock id
I can eventually get WB to load up by clicking throug the errors, but when I try and access Main I can't see any files. System (DH0) still works fine though.
I don't know much about Hard Drives but it seems like the lookup? table for the Main partition has corrupted so WB can't access the data properly.
What do I do? Can I get my data back? Help.

Hi Twin
which SFS version have you installed?
Jast happened to me a couple of months ago.
Try with SFSSalv (in the package) and you can see the files and save them on another partition.
Not 100% safe and then anyway, a format is required.
Ciao

Hi
Im not sure which version I have installed, the HD was setup when I bought the computer.
I cant seem to find this SFSSalv. Is there anywhere I can get it?
Ill check Aminet now.

Open a Shell and type:
version smartfilesystem
SmarfFileSystem is in the L: directory.
SFSSalv, is present in the main archive of SFS.lha
