Browsed through the net for a new mobo when I found THIS (http://www.riksdata.se/data/1.asp).
I thought GGS-data was the only swedish Amiga-retailer. :-)

You can also order Amiga os 4.0!?? for 850 Skr.
The store is rather close to where i work so I can check it out at my lunch.

That's a big surprise to me. I work just around the corner. Headed for Riksdata at lunch break!
And there's 3 retailers in Sweden right now, GGS, Riksdata and http://www.mc2data.se
Sweden = Amigaland?

It also seems, that they only have A1's
I dont belive that they will start selling stuff for the classic serie
By the way, I didn't know that you could use Gforce 4 on A1 :-? :-?

The interesting thing is that mc2data and GGS-Data seems to have the exact same product- and pricelist, there's even the same typos :-)
I couldn't reach riksdata.se at the moment.

I think I read about that a few years ago.
They are a re-seller for GGS AFAIK.

My PC is from Riksdata (well, it's actually my fathers, and it's hired through "tågkompaniet"), and we've had loads of problems with them. When we got this computer the CPU was loose in the chassi (a P3 slot CPU), and when our 20GB IBM harddrive died we had to wait over 3 months for a new HD :-(
I hope they have better service and knows how to lock CPU's to the motherboard now.

I just visited Riksdata and the strangest thing happened. I actually talked to someone over the counter about the Amiga, in a store! And he was positive too!
They didn't have any systems in the store right now but he had a large quantity on order.

Now I've been to Riksdata and the girl at the front desk said something like "amigwhat". So she interupted her boss who was talking in the phone. She came back an explained that they where new customers to Amiga and that one would have to order the stuff from Riksdata. They did'nt have any thing (amiga stuff) in the store. I tried to ask about the coupons but she had no clue and the boss was still buzzy.

I am not from sweden but there is a 3rd shop aswell (and i think its more also)
that shop is CbI , i dont have the addy atm but i have bought games from here a few days ago.
i think that you swedes should USE your shops more even if they only sell games :)
hmm sounds like sweden is ANTI amiga land for games dealers ??? lol

the shops in Dnemark are even more anti-amiga, we only have 1 amiga retailer, called Kiwi Multimedia, and there are way expensive. if you were to compare the price that you have to pay at kiwi and the price you would have pay in UK. It would be cheaper buying in UK, even you have to pay postage :-x :-x :-x :-x

No, I didn't. I figured that he wouldn't know too much about them right now as they're new to the Amiga. The first guy I talked to thought I was kidding at first... but the manager knew more and he had been on the phone with Eyetech or maybe GGS this morning. He talked about amiga.org aswell.

They are a little cheaper than GGS Data too...
8800SEK for the XE-G4 versus 8995... Ah competition :-D
I'll buy from GGS anyhow (it's only a louse 200:-
difference, and I'll get AOS4 for free since I ordered in time).
Besides, GGS stood fast all through the dark years
(blatantly assuming they're soon to be over :-)), the least I
can do is finally buying the fabled new Amiga from them.

According to the manager of Riksdata the price is only an estimation, and he even though that he could get a better price because of the large quantity he would order.
(but I have already ordered mine from GGS :-) (G4)

It's nice that they are PC-dealers and Apple-dealers. Since now a lot of their PC/Mac buyes will at least know that the Amiga is "back". Perhaps one or two might get interested as well since the Amiga had quite a huge following in Sweden back in the days.
An operating system would be nice though. :-D

Nya distributörer...men svika gamla hederliga GGS-Data? ;) Naah! Schysstaste datoraffären i Sverige, helt klart. De svarade på alla mina frågor när jag skulle köpa en ny A1200 även om det måste ha varit riktiga nybörjarfrågor för dem. (om towers osv..)
Synd bara att jag aldrig hann köpa en bra utrustad A4000 av dem innan de tog slut. :\ (börjar bli lite svårt att arbeta med oexpanderade 1200'or nu.. :)

Here in Denmark we only have one dealer left and they are so expensive that you have to buy from England or Germany anyway :-(
Hope we will have at least one other dealer when OS4 is released, I have a feeling we will ;-)
Still it's no problem to order from Germany, they even have a lower tax and both Vesalia and KDH provide exellent service. I would offcourse prefer to see the Amiga well represented in shops here in DK ..

For your information, the "whatever" is the swedish
currency, The Krona ("Krona" means "Crown" by the way),
short-hand is SEK, for SwEdish Krona, I suppose :-). An
earlier post already handled how much it's worth, can't be
borhered to look it up right now...
I can guarantee that knowledge in Swedish helps nada
towards the understanding of whabangs signature! :-D

Jag håller med om att DMZ borde återkomma med
Amigaövervakning. Numera satsar de ju mest på Linux
tycks det som. Jag har fått för mig att den gamle hederlige
chefsredaktören Christer Rindeblad inte håller i tömmarna
längre heller, så frågan är ju hur många av de gamla rävarna
som finns kvar. Man kan ju undra hur mycket av sin gamla
Amiga-histora DMZ-redaktionen minns (eller ens upplevde)
idag.
Amiga Info tycker jag skulle vara ett minst lika bra
alternativ. Bra tidning. Om det fanns mer pengar i det (samt
fler engagerade Amiganer) kanske något nummer
skulle skickas ut till prenumeranterna inom två
månader från publikationsdatum också... :-P
