Has anyone heard about Amiga filing a lawsuit against Gateway in Texas courts today? Anyone have additional information about it?

Utterly Ridiculous if its true. Amiga as we know it is very rapidly being destroyed. The LOVE of Money is the Root of All Evil and does this to people.
Personally I would swallow my pride for the sake of the survival of the Amiga Name and brand. I prefer the Amiga to survive than being rich..............simply because If Amiga succeeds..........the side effect is that you will get rich regardless.
Sad, sad, sad

I had not heard this. I knew that a while back Gateway had aquired the rights to the AmigaOS and started the development of the A1 machine... I think that was over 2 years ago I read that or saw something on that.. IIRC.
My last understanding was that Gateway had no interest in the system (a pity because IMHO they could have resurrected the system by offering hardware support and just maybe they would not be in as deep financial difficulty had they done something with it). Anyhow the Amiga Company I thought has the rights to the OS now, I could be wrong because I am not in the know of the legalities.
But if Gateway is suing Amiga Company they may as well sue the people involved in the AROS project as well...
It is pointless for them to do this, again IMHO.
